LS polls: BJP launches door-to-door programme to connect to voters

New Delhi, April 4: The BJP may not have released its manifesto yet, but it is planning to reach out to voters from April 6 onwards at "Booth level".

As a part of its election strategy, the party has launched a number, at which the electors can give "missed call" to register their support.

The BJP is all set to launch door-to-door campaign in which it will inform voters about their Lok Sabha candidates and manifesto.

"We will observe April 6 as Vijay Sankalp Diwas by reaching out to voters at booth level across the country," BJP Delhi chief Vijay Goel told reporters.

"Our aim is to reach out to about two crore voters spread across 5 lakh polling booths in the country through our booth-in-charge along with volunteers", he said.

He also said, "party volunteers, including women workers along with the booth-in-charge, will try to visit every household in their respective areas and explain to the voters about BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the party's symbol, candidates and the party policies and programmes.

The party is focusing on booth management at micro level with every detail as part of the election strategy this time.
