Long holidays for banks starting this weekend
New Delhi, March 24: Those who need to make use of banking services in the next few days should go ahead immediately. Banks across the country would remain closed due to several holidays starting from March 28.
Thanks to the Indian festivals, most of the banks will remain closed for six days between March 28 to April 5.
Due to the long holidays ahead, the banking services will be disrupted. Even the ATMs are likely to run out of cash during the banks closure.
However, the banks will remain open on March 30th and March 31st.
Well, it definitely comes as a good news and a much-awaited break for the bank employees, who were planning for a week-long vacation.
Here is the list of holidays:
March 28: Ram Navami
March 29: Sunday
March 30: Working Day
March 31: Working Day
April 1st: Annual closing of accounts (Bank working day but no transaction)
April 2nd: Mahavir Jayanti
Arpil 3rd: Good Friday
April 4th: Half day
April 5th: Sunday
In Kerala, it will be working days for banks on March 28 and April 2nd.
