The Lashkar-e-Tayiba has formed a crack team of 80 members with the sole focus of carrying out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. The outfit is trying to make up for the ground it had lost to the Hizbul Mujahideen which has been gaining in strength off late.
Out of the 80 member team, the Lashkar-e-Tayiba is believed to have infiltrated 15 members into Jammu and Kashmir already. Investigations have shown that the two terrorists who had staged the Pampore attack in which 8 CRPF personnel died were part of the same squad.
Crack team for Kashmir:
The Lashkar-e-Tayiba has created a crack team for Kashmir. There has been an unseen battle between the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and the Hizbul Mujahideen in Kashmir. Although they have not come to blows with each other, there is a fight to gain space in the Valley and claim that the fight is theirs'.
Over the past couple of months it is the Hizbul Mujahideen which has been gaining in strength in the Valley. The appointment of the 21 year old Burhan Wani has helped the outfit touch a chord with the youth. Moreover he is a social media friendly person which has only extended the reach of the outfit.
The Lashkar-e-Tayiba on the other hand has vowed to wage Jihad against India. For the Lashkar-e-Tayiba the Kashmir battle continues to be the most preferred. In a bid to stay relevant in Kashmir, it has now formed this exclusive crack team comprising 80 persons. The Lashkar-e-Tayiba proposes to launch these men into India in batches. The first batch of 15 was launched a few weeks back and this group comprised the 2 militants who were killed in Pampore on Saturday.
Following this development, security has been enhanced. Security is particularly tight in the Bandipore and Malangpore areas as it is suspected that these terrorists may be lurking around in these belts.
