Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti claims addressing youth at Harvard; varsity rubbishes claim

Patna, Mar 10: In an embarrassment to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti, Harvard University has rubbished her claims of being invited as a speaker at its India Conference and termed the images posted by her as 'fake'.

Lalu's daughter lied over Harvard visit?

Misa Bharti had earlier released a few photos along with a press release stating that she had delivered a lecture at United State's prestigious varsity. The news was published in several news papers in Bihar.

Harvard has revealed that Misa was not invited as a speaker at an India Conference held on March 7-8 and the pictures are a gross misrepresentation.

The Harvard released a statement saying, "Misa Bharti was invited as part of the audience and not as a speaker of any panel at the India Conference at Harvard. Her attendee status can also be confirmed from the fact that she had to purchase a ticket as an audience. She was not invited to deliver any lecture."

Images uploaded by Misa, who contested and lost last year's Lok Sabha election, on her facebook page show her apparently addressing an audience. The caption of the image in Hindi read, "Giving a lecture at Harvard on the role of youth."

"Dear friends... I wish to share with you all that I have been invited by Harvard University to participate in 'India Conference' on 7th and 8th March," said a post on her Facebook page.
