Kolkata, June 11: In a shocking revelation, a man in Kolkata has found living with his dead sister's body. The man has been identified as 47-year-old Partha De, a former employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
The incident came into light when his neighbours noticed smoke which was coming from Mr Partha's house. Neighbours informed police and a team of cops entered Mr Partha's house.
Police first found a burnt dead body of Mr Partha's father, who has been identified as 77-year-Arabinda De. Later cops were shocked to find out a skeleton and bags of bones.
The investigating officers questioned Mr Partha, who claimed that the woman was his sister Debjani. According to Mr Partha, Ms Debjani died in Aug 2014.
She had refused to eat after their two pet dogs died in 2014. Four months later Ms Debjani passed away, claimed Mr Partha. The former techie along with his father had been living with the corpses since last year.
Father commits suicide:
Initial investigation indicated that Mr Arabinda might have committed suicide. The door of the bathroom, from where his body was found, was locked from inside.
However, questions have been raised why did not he inform neighbour or his relatives about his daughter's demise. Meanwhile, sources informed that Mr Partha had thrown his birthday party at their house one month back. Why didn't anybody notice anything suspicious or mysterious?
Incident took place in Central Kolkata:
The family used to stay in a flar in central Kolkata's Robinson Lane and police found out all corpses on Thursday, June 11.
Mr Partha told police that he has left his job six months back and his sister, who was 50-year-old used to work as a music teacher in an English medium school.
Mr Partha, mentally-retarded?
According to police, Mr Partha might have been suffering from some mental problem. He said that he loved his sister and their dogs, hence, he did not cremate them.
Apparently, he suffered from hallucinations that her soul visited them for dinner every night. A lot of found was found lying on floors of a room inside the flat.
He placed many music systems at several places inside the flat and tried to create an unusual environment with weird sound effects.
Investigating officers also found diaries written by Mr Partha in which there are accounts of an unhappy upbringing.
