Another Skeleton Case in Kolkata: Mother found living with daughter's corpse

Kolkata, Aug 11: After infamous psycho skeleton case, Kolkata witnessed another shocking incident where a mother has been found living with her daughter's corpse.

67-year-old woman was a resident of Domjur village near Howrah. She along with her 24-year-old daughter used to live in the house.

According to their neighbours, both mother and daughter never interacted with anyone. They used to live a secluded life inside the one-room house.

On Monday, Aug 11, neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from their house. They informed police who later discovered the woman Annapurna sleeping on the floor with the body of her daughter Tanima on the bed.

The window, a former primary school teacher, told police that she was not aware that her daughter had died. Tanima was a patient of epilepsy.

Police sent the body for post-mortem. It has been suspected that the deceased might have died on Sunday morning.

Speaking about the incident, a police official was quoted as saying, "The body was not decomposed. But signs of rigor mortis were found in it. It appears that the young woman died either on Sunday night or early on Monday."

Recently, Kolkata was stunned to know about De family. The incident was unfolded when police discovered Mr Arobindo's body from his house. He committed suicide.

Later police found Partho who was living with three skeletons. Partho claimed that their two pet dogs and his sister Debjani had died in 2014.

But he did not cremate them and had been living with their skeletons for more than six months.
