After battling for life for 48 days at a hospital, Bose succumbed to his injuries on February 15, last year.

Prosecution counsel Udayabhanu told reporters that they have sought maximum punishment for the businessman.

"Since he also claims to be a wealthy businessman, we have asked for a compensation of Rs.5 crore for the bereaved family," said Udayabhanu. [Kerala: Security guard could not live in his newly-constructed home even once]
