New Delhi, Feb 15: Arvind Kejriwal, who resigned as Delhi chief minister Friday, said he may live in his official residence for the next three months owing to his daughter's coming exams.

"I may stay in the same house for the next two-three months as my daughter has exams coming. Shifting will be hard on us," he told NDTV news channel.

Kejriwal and his family had recently shifted from a house in Ghaziabad to the Tilak Lane residence.

According to the law, he can stay in the house for 15 days. After that, he may also stay in that house for six more months by paying the market rent as prescribed by the government.

Kejriwal said he might stay in the same house owing to his daughter's exams

Kejriwal quit as the chief minister of Delhi on Friday night after his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led government failed to introduce the Jan Lokpal Bill in the Delhi assembly. The AAP supporters backed Kejriwal's decision and held the Congress and BJP responsible for pushing the situation to such an extent that their leader had to resign.
