The rally began at 2:00 pm and started from his party office at Shreyas Crossroads with party members and policemen alongside his open display of power.
Kejriwal's roadshow had a total of seven vehicles, apart from supporters on motorbikes.
"We have come all the way from Rajkot. I am among the 800 party members who have come for the AAP's public meeting to be held at Bapunagar later in the evening," said Chandra Arora, a female party member of AAP.
A PhD scholar who joined the party just a few days back further added,"We are enthused to see our leader Kejriwal come to Gujarat. He is honest to the core".
Chanting slogans,"Shelia Dixit haari hai, Ab Modi ki baari hai", the AAP convoy sent ripples across the city across the Hindu and the Muslim localities. Some of the areas that Kejriwal passed through included Paldi, Kalupur and Gitamandir areas.
"This man has created ripples in all the places that he goes to," said Ashok Patel, who was one of the autorickshaw driver who waved to Kejriwal as he passed by.
