I offer deep condolences on the passing away of Jayalalithaa, says Karunanidhi.
Chennai, Dec 6: DMK leader M Karunanidhi on Tuesday condoled the death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who passed away in a hospital here.
"I offer deep condolences on the passing away of Jayalalithaa. Wishes of lakhs of her followers will make her immortal," Karunanidhi said.
The Chief Minister suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday evening and died late Monday.
In a series of tweets put out following the death of Jayalalithaa, the PM Narendra Modi expressed deep sadness over her demise and said it has left "a huge void in Indian politics".
