Karthik Gowda writes letter to KFCC, claims Mythriya's film is based on his life

Bengaluru, April 29: Law and Justice minister DV Sadanand Gowda's son Karthik Gowda who was in the media limelight for his alleged relationship with a Kannada actress, on Tuesday, April 28, approached Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) to stop the shooting of Kannada movie Akshathe, in which Mythriya Gowda is playing the lead role.

In a letter dated on April 25, 2015, addressed to KFCC, Karthik has claimed that the movie 'Akshathe' is based on his life. [Karthik Gowda appears before police]

According to Karthik, the movie is allegedly based on a love story in which the hero's name is Karthik.

Karthik has asked KFCC to bar its cast and crew from participating in its making and to ensure that the film, that is based on concocted stories about his life, should get no publicity.

However, the actress of the film, Mythriya Gowda refuted the allegations saying that the film is not related to anyone's personal life.

Instead, she said that the film is about an IAS officer and the story was finalised eight months ago. [Karthik Gowda granted anticipatory bail]

In September 2014, a day after when Karthik got engaged at a ceremony at Kushalnagar in Kodagu District, an actress had claimed that she got secretly married him at Gowda's residence in Mangalore on June 5, 2014.

28-year-old Karthik was booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 420 (cheating).
