Karnataka Dy SP suicide: State govt orders CID probe
New Delhi, June 8: The Karnataka government has ordered a probe by the Criminal Investigation Department into the death of Deputy Superintendent of Police M K Ganapathy.
Following discussions between the Chief Minister and the Home Minister it was decided to hand over the probe to the CID.

Before committing suicide he had accused former Home Minister K.J. George, State intelligence chief A M Prasad of harassing him. The CID would go into these allegations and find out the motive behind the suicide.
The CM and the HM also met with the state police chief Om Prakash and get more details into the case.
It was then decided to hand over the probe to the CID which is a specialised investigating unit.
