Karnataka bandh on April 7
Several organisations have called for a Karnataka bandh on April 7 seeking early implementation of drinking water projects. It has been pointed out that there is a acute drinking water crisis in the districts of Kolar and Chikkaballapur.
Further it has also been pointed out that the Prime Minister should intervene in the Mahadeyi row and find an amicable solution. Activist Vatal Nagraj while addressing the media said that the band call on April 7 has been issued to seek early implementation of several drinking water projects.
It is however too early to say whether the bandh would be total or not. The Mahadeyi row is however a burning issue in Karnataka and several organisations have been seeking the intervention of the Prime Minister on this issue.
