Mumbai, Nov 22: Days after the controversy over a Marathi actress, Kapil Sharma finally broke his silence. The famous comedian claimed that he was innocent and he did not misbehave with anyone as he was not even present at the award ceremony where the incident allegedly had taken place.
The comedian, who recently acted in Bollywood movie, was quoted as saying, "I don't know where this news came from."
Continuing his statement, Kapil added, "First of all I want to clarify that I was not present at the award function. I don't know who made a mountain out of a mole-hill. I believe everyone is like me, who loves everybody. But there are some people who made these news."
Deepali Sayyad, the Marathi actress, earlier had claimed that Kapil allegedly misbehaved with her during an award function.
Deepali earlier was quoted as saying, "Kapil wanted to dance with me but I did not. I moved away," and added, "I don't know Kapil. I prefer to dance with people whom I know. So, I danced with Gutthi and Palak (two famous characters of Comedy Nights)".
It was reported that the incident allegedly took place at a wrap-up party to celebrate the International Marathi Film Festival Awards 2015.
Media reports also quoted other persons, on the condition of anonymity, as saying that Kapil was drunk and allegedly misbehaved with many other women were preset at the venue.
Kapil allegedly misbehaved with Bollywood actress Kajol's sister Tanisha Mukherjee and singer Monali Thakur.
