New Delhi, March 3: JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar reached the JNU here on Thursday evening, 20 days after he was arrested there on charges of sedition.
Kanhaiya Kumar entered the sprawling Jawaharlal Nehru University campus from one of the side gates to avoid activists ranged against him who were massed outside the main entrance, students told IANS.
Addressing students here, Kumar said: "We have no grudges against ABVP as we are truly democratic people. We truly believe in Indian constitution."
"Attack on JNU is a planned one as they want to delegitimize UGC protest, and to dilute the fight for justice for Rohith Vemula," said Kumar.
The JNU Students Union president was earlier released from the Tihar Jail, a day after the Delhi High Court gave him a six-month interim bail.
