JNU row: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal writes an emotional blog

New Delhi, Feb 22: Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has expressed his opinion on current upheaval in educational institutes especially in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). In an emotional blog, Mohanlal has expressed his thoughts over the JNU row which has taken India by storm.

In the blog which is in Malayalam Mohanlal has spoken about the role of the Army and their sacrifice for the nation. Blog which is titled as 'How can we live after the death of India,' the actor recalled story of Siachen braveheart Lance Naik B. Sudheesh who died in Avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir. Actor wrote how Sudheesh died without seeing his four-month-old daughter Meenakshi.

In a poignant blog, he expressed shock that we people keep on discussing the definition of patriotism while our valiant soldiers sacrifice their lives for the country.

The actor was quoted by the IBN as saying, "We cover ourselves in thick blankets at the first sign of chill in the weather. We have hot water to brush our teeth and take a bath. It is after utilising these comforts that we go to universities and offices and discuss about our soldiers, abuse them and question them. Our country is the soil we stand on, the sky above our heads, the air we breathe, the water we drink and finally the piece of land that we will become one with as we die".
