New Delhi, Sept 9: In a bid to douse the fire, Union Minister and Bihar in Charge, Ananth Kumar has appealed to Jitan Ram Manjhi to keep his displeasure private. A row has been kicked off following an outburst by HAM-S leader, Manjhi in which he has questioned the credentials of Ram Vilas Paswan also part of the NDA.
Ananth Kumar has urged Manjhi not to make public statements against allies. Keep displeasure private, Kumar has also urged Manjhi. Meanwhile Kumar will hold talks with Manjhi and pacify him while also discussing the issues of seat sharing which were raised by the HAM-S leader.
Manjhi's outburst:
Jiten Ram Manjhi has been in the news of late. A week back he had expressed displeasure over the issue of seat sharing. The BJP has promised him 15 seats, but he has demanded more. He had also sent one of his aides to meet with Lalu Prasad Yadav which had led to speculation.
The BJP, however, dismissed the meet as a bargaining tactic and also said that the issues within the NDA would be sorted out.
Now Manjhi has decided to attack Paswan and questioned his credentials as a Dalit leader. What has he done for the Dalits, Manjhi had questioned which has prompted Ananth Kumar to meet him and sort out the issue.
Manjhi's latest outburst is being seen as another tactic to get a lion's share of the seats. The BJP is expected to give Paswan's party more seats to contest in the forthcoming Bihar elections and this is said to be the triggering point of the outburst by Manjhi, the BJP feels.
