Jhabua blast prime accused arrested
Jhabua, Sept 16: The prime accused in the Jhabua blast of Madhya Pradesh, Rajendra Kaswa has been arrested in Maharashtra.
The Madhya Pradesh police had launched a massive manhunt for Kaswa who is being blamed for the negligence as a result of which the blast occurred in which over 100 persons were killed.
Last week in a major explosion at Jhabua over 100 persons were killed. Investigators had found that the explosives stored in Kaswa's go-down was the cause of the blast.
It was an accidental blast and Kaswa even had a licence to procure explosives. However he had not followed the safety norms, the police had said while ruling out any terror angle to the blast.
On Tuesday the Madhya Pradesh police had arrested Kaswa's wife. She was picked up from a house in Manpur. The police in a bid to further their probe had also arrested Kaswa's brothers.
While there were reports suggesting that Kaswa may have died in the blast, the police had found that his cell phone was active for several hours after the blasts.
