Shocking: Jet Airways suspends air hostesses for Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam
Mumbai, Feb 5: National carrier Jet Airways has taken a stern action while suspending 5 of its cabin crew staff. The air hostesses have been suspended for allowing Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam to use the "address system of the plane".
Jet Airways has suspended its staff after watching a viral video in which Sonu Nigam was seen singing two of his most popular songs. The singer, however, might not have imagined such consequences even in his nightmares."

Earlier Sonu Nigam's video of singing two Bollywood songs onboard had gone viral. Passengers of Jet Airways flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai on Jan 4 requested the singer to sing a song.
Sonu Nigam took the requests and the cabin crew of the flight too allowed him to use the flight's announcement systems. The singer sang two songs --'Panchhi nadiya' from the film 'Refugee' and 'Do pal ruka' from Yash Raj Films' 'Veer Zaara'.
Everyone including the cabin crew of the flight enjoyed the in-flight concert. However, it did not go well with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the regulatory body of the aviation of the country.
In an official statement, Jet Airways said, "All Cabin Crew on the flight have been taken off from flight duty for enquiry and corrective training to reinforce strict adherence to operating procedures".
