JD(U)-RJD-Congress alliance holds no value, says Jitan Ram Manjhi

Patna, Aug 30: Congress, JD(U), RJD seem to have all set to form an alliance to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in upcoming assembly election in Bihar. The assembly poll is expected to be held by the end of 2015.

Speaking about JD(U)'s Swabhimaan rally on Sunday, Aug 30, former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi lashed out at Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sonia Gandhi.

Manjhi, now the President of HAM party, said, "all of them are there for selfish gain, that's why their alliance holds no value."

He also called Nitish Kumar's rally "a big flop". Manjhi, who belongs to Dalit community, said none from the community attended the rally held by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. [RJD's Bihar bandh is a proof of jungle-raj: Jitan Ram Manjhi]

"Only few members of Samajwadi Party mark there presence, otherwise most of them kept themselves away from this rally. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi has no importance in Bihar and stressed that Lalu has his influence in Bihar, "he added.

After BJP's 'Parivartan Rally', now JD(U), RJD and Congress held the Swabhiman Rally in Patna on Sunday. The leaders tried to woo the voters ahead of the election. [Bihar assembly elections 2015: Of caste-based politics and development]

Congress President Sonia Gandhi, JD(U) President Sharad Yadav and many other senior leaders of the party to attended the rally which was organised at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

They joined hands with Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav to derail Narendra Modi wave in the state. In 2010 assembly elections, Nitish Kumar led-Janata Dal (United) had won 115 seats and BJP had won 91 seats whereas, RJD and LJP alliance together won 25 seats and Congress grabbed 4 seats only.
