Patna, Aug 7: Seeking to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'DNA' barb against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a poll issue, JD(U) legislators today enacted a skit in which a DNA test of the BJP revealed 1000 per cent increase in communalism and corruption under the NDA government.

Holding a syringe and wearing an apron, JD(U) MLA Manjeet Kumar Singh played a doctor while Raghopur MLA Satish Kumar essayed the role of a patient (BJP) whose DNA test conducted in "Modi Patho Diagnostics" yielded devastating results.

Several other JD(U) MLAs including Uday Manjhi, Rishi Mishra and Ashok Singh played nurses in the skit which drew mediapersons and others to the site.

Reading the BJP's DNA profile as came in the report, Singh, MLA from Baikunthpur in Gopalganj said communalism has increased 1000 per cent.

"1000 per cent increase was also shown regarding corruption, casteism, price rise, issues concerning farmers, Jumlabazi, black money and Feku sarkar," Singh read out the report in the lawn of the Assembly.

The MLA said he would present a copy of the DNA report of the BJP to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The JD(U) skit signalled that the party was trying to convert it into a poll issue in the coming Bihar election.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has written an open letter to the PM requesting him to take back the "DNA" comment against him which has triggered a political spat between secular alliance and NDA ahead of Bihar election.

BJP described JD(U) MLAs efforts to gain political mileage out of the controversy as reflection of their "panic and disappoint over growing popularity of BJP." "Prime Minister had meant to highlight political DNA of CM Nitish Kumar.

The JD(U)'s efforts to capitalise on the remark for political gain reflected its panic and disappointment over growing popularity of BJP and its NDA associates," Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav told reporters.
