The AIADMK seems to have some reason to breathe easy before the November 19 bypolls to Tamil Nadu assembly. Their supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's health has made some progress with sources from the party stating that she is off respiratory support.

The ailing CM is under treatment at Apollo hospital in Chennai since September 22. Sources reveal that Jayalalithaa underwent a tracheotomy to relieve breathing obstruction but no official word has come in either from the party or the hospital.

Sources also say that Jayalalithaa has been shifted out of the ICU to a regular ward but strict vigil around the hospital will continue. The last communication from the hospital was on October 21 and supporters of Jayalalithaa and party workers alike await official word from doctors on her current condition.

Improvement in J Jayalalithaa's health is definitely a booster to AIADMK that was heading into bypolls on November 19 without their supremo by their side.
