J&K polls: NC candidate assures people of development on Nagrota
Nagrota, Dec 17: Intensifying his campaign across the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, National Conference candidate Devender Singh Rana on Wednesday sought a massive mandate for changing the overall profile of the area by ensuring development and implementation of welfare schemes for different segments of people.
"Your precious vote will determine future of the constituency for the next six years", Rana said while addressing several election meeting across the constituency, adding that he has been doing his humble little for the development of the area, not as a favour but as duty towards the gracious and sagacious people of Nagrota.
Referring to deep urge of the people for progress and development, Rana assured them that they will not find him wanting on any front, as his endeavour has all along been to ensure the execution of various schemes on fast-track basis.
As a result of persuasion and constant monitoring, things have changed and the constituency is humming with activity on all fronts. He said development remains elusive without active cooperation of the people and keeping this crucial factor in mind he has been endeavoring to take along all to achieve the set objectives.
He said the people of Nagrota feel fully empowered after the Panchayat elections and their role in decision making has made all the difference in predominant rural pockets. "Now the people are vested with the authority of fixing priorities for schemes on need basis of the each area", he maintained.
Rana expressed his gratitude to the people for reposing their faith in him when they felt let down by the candidate elected from the constituency. He said he has been feeling overwhelmed to repay the debt in terms of love and trust bestowed by the people upon him.
He hoped similar support from the people, as he has been getting in the past and said this will motivate him further to seek redressal of their problems and ensuring fast track development.

He called for collective effort and said the resources will not be allowed to come in the way of development, as the track record of the past six years stands testimony to the fact that everything possible has been done to meet the needs of the people on immediate basis.
He said Nagrota has traversed a long way on the road of development during past seven years and this journey will continue with much more vigour in years to come.
Rana also assured the youth that their aspirations will meet befitting response in the years to come and said a road map stands already prepared for carving out opportunities for the young people-educated and skilled-and the day is not far when they will shoulder their responsibilities as useful citizens of the state.
He sought youth participation in building of modern Jammu and Kashmir State, especially the constituency they belong to.
