Srinagar, Sept 12: As the Jammu and Kashmir is in the grip of worst-ever floods in its history, the victims have been granted compensation by the Central government and many other state governments.

Here's lets take a look at the entire process of compensation:

The flood victims are required to submit the photographs of damaged incurred along with full details to the state administrative officials, in an order to get the compensation.

The victims can contact State District Magistrate (SDM) or Tehsildar for availing the compensation.

How much compensation?

For dead and injured:

As per the guideline of SDRF, the kin of dead are given Rs 1,50,000, seriously injured- Rs 9,300 and those with minor injuries get Rs 3,100.

House damages:
Completely damaged
Badly damaged
Lightly damaged
Pucca houses: Rs 70,000 Rs 12,600 Rs 3,800
Kutcha houses: Rs 17,600 Rs 3,800 Rs 2,300

For damaged huts: Rs 3,000

Damage in animals shelter: Rs 1,500

For animals:

Domestic cows' death: Rs 16,400

Milk-producing goats' death: Rs 1,650

Other big animals' injuries: Rs 15,000

Other small animals' injuries: Rs 10,000

Other damages:

Clothes: Rs 1,300

Utensils: Rs 1,400
