Jagan Reddy taken to preventive custody, forced to take fluids
But, he was forcibly moved yesterday night to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) after the police took him in preventive custody. Doctors here said that Jagan was severly dehydrated and was forced on fluids, despite protests by him.
According to sources, in the last public meeting before he was taken away, Jagan hailed the state of Andhra Pradesh saying,"2014 will be a referendum" on the Centre's decision to turn the region of Telangana into a state."
Meanwhile, a possible alliance between YSR Congress in Hyderabad and BJP is being speculated when Jagan's mother Vijayamma paid a visit to Rajnath Singh on Wednesday evening. This argument can be further strengthened by Jagan's comments on Narendra Modi, just after being released from jail last month on charges of corruption.
Jagan had called Narendra Modi an "able administrator", but wanted the BJP to demonstrate their commitment to secularism.
