New Delhi, Nov 8: This is the poll season and political parties are trying hard to show others in bad light The reason could be to score brownie point which will buoyed their prospect in the poll State.

Latest is Congress has accused BJP of seeking to compromise with separatists in Jammu and Kashmir for the sake of power.

"Today there is a talk of an understanding with them in view of elections. You can support with devil for elections... This is a betrayal of the nation," party spokesman Salman Khurshid told reporters referring to reported statements made by Union minister and BJP leader Kiren Rijiju.

Khurshid said that the Congress has made great sacrifices for the cause of Kashmir. "These are not only political sacrifices, but greater sacrifices".

Rijiju denied having said anything on Kashmir separatists or polls.

"I have neither spoken anything on Jammu and Kashmir polls nor have I spoken about separatists. There is no question of compromising on the country's security and integrity. If anyone takes law into his hands we will deal firmly," he told.

BJP has also denied having met separatists in Jammu and Kashmir in the run-up to assembly elections.

The Modi led BJP's strategy this time is not to touch controversial topics like article 370 and instead thrive on anti-incumbency and dynastic politics of national conference(NC) and PDP.

Party general secretary Ram Madhav who is in-charge of the state said, "We will go to the people in the name of development to get the state rid of these two families. Their 'family raj' stands for corruption and deprivation".
