Addressing a gathering in the city, Modi told Congress, "Don't question people's patriotism, We don't need any certificate from you". Taking a dig at Sonia, Modi asked,"Since you have challenged our patriotism, we want to know in which jail are the 2 Italian marines being kept. Who allowed them to leave Delhi?".
"Had it not been for the Supreme Court that asked for answers the marines wouldn't have never returned", he said.
Two Italian sailors, who killed two Indian fishermen near Kerala coast on February 15, 2012, were allowed to go to Italy during the trial period.
Modi also raked up the case of Nido Taniam, a student from Arunachal Pradesh, who was murdered in Delhi. Sonia didn't speak anything about the case when she came to Arunachal for poll campaign, said Modi.
"We need to free the nation from the grip of Congress", Modi said, urging the people from North East to vote for BJP.
