Inspired by Indira, Priyanka Gandhi fights for husband Robert Vadra

Rae Bareli, April 22: During her election campaign at her mother's constituency, Congress President Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi finally broke her silence regarding allegations against her husband.

Speaking at the campaign rally at Rae Bareli on Tuesday, April 22, Priyanka Gandhi said that she would fight for Robert Vadra who has been facing attacks by opposition party leaders.

Priyanka also spoke how she was inspired by the thoughts and the path shown by former prime minister and her grandmother Indira Gandhi. Priyanka, who recently has refused to contest Lok Sabha election, said her grandmother's words inspired her to fight foe her husband.

The more I will be humiliated, more will be my determination to fight: Priyanka

Defending her husband and family, she was quoted as saying, "Many things are being said about my family, my husband. I feel sad the way humiliating things are being said. The more I will be humiliated, more will be my determination to fight."

She also thanked people for supporting her mother and Congress for a long time. Speaking about allegations against her family and husband, she said, "Such attacks give me more determination to fight for the Congress party."

"You have given my family, my mother a lot. It is a big thing that we have been able to work with you. There is a relationship between you all and my family," added Priyanka.

Urging people to vote for Congress in this ongoing poll, Priyanka said, "I want you all to vote for the country. A country that moves unitedly."
