Hours later, on Thursday, the Congress confirmed that official Twitter accounts of the party and its Vice President were hacked again.
The cybercrime against the oldest political party of the country is of grave concern, says a senior cyber security analyst from Bengaluru.
He indicated that "foreign" hands were involved in the cyber breach and should be investigated properly.

Reports say a group by the name Legion has hacked both the accounts.
The first tweet after Gandhi's Twitter handle was hacked on Wednesday, read, "Coming up next is a full Congress exposure of all the malpractices. This is the end of the corrupt era! We are legion."
In fact, Legion is the same social media group that closely worked with the ISIS in Syria to woo young people into its fold through online propaganda till 2015.
According to reports several of Legion's main guys were killed by the FBI to destroy its social media campaign of recruiting terrorists for the ISIS.
However, we can't confirm if ISIS Legion is the same group behind the hacking of Rahul and Congress' Twitter accounts.
Nonetheless, the name Legion rings a bell.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have initiated a probe into the hacking of Congress Vice President's Twitter account and has written to the management of the social media site seeking necessary details.
"We have written to Twitter to provide us log details such as the IP address of the hackers. We have started investigating the matter," a senior police official said.
