Inside the house of an Islamic State operative in UP
An alleged Islamic State operative was gunned down following a 11-hour encounter on the outskirts of Lucknow on Wednesday.

During the search operation, the police found a variety of material such as pistols, maps and also a picture suggesting that the UP ATS was their target. Several cell phones and material to prepare bombs were also recovered. Saifullah, according to the police was responsible for the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train explosion on Tuesday. Operative had a schedule
One of the recoveries was a piece of paper which had a schedule. It included walking, exercising, praying and also training. The paper has been sent to the forensic sciences laboratory for examination.
Flag of the Islamic State
The ATS found a flag of the Islamic State in the house. There was plenty of other material to prepare bombs. Gunpowder, ammonium nitrate and pipes were among some of the material that has been seized. Several cell phones were found too.
Many targets on the list
The police learnt that they had plans of carrying out blasts at the Deva Shareef, shrine of Sufi saint Waris Ali Shah, on March 27. Jihadi videos of attacks in other places, the layout of several shrines were also found at the house.

There were also several pistols that were seized from the house. Saifuallah had refused to surrender and said that he preferred to attain Shahadat.

The ATS also found a map of the Indian Railways in the house. The accused is suspected to have carried out the Bhopal-Ujjain passenger train blast in which 9 persons were injured. Newspapers and diaries too were seized by the UP ATS.
