Indo-Pak NSAs to talk on August 23

New Delhi, Aug 13: Pakistan has confirmed the dates for the NSA level talks with India. The talks would be held on August 23 at New Delhi.

The two NSA's of India and Pakistan would hold discussions in New Delhi which would pave the way for the talks between the Prime Ministers as decided during their recent meeting in Ufa, Russia.

Indo-Pak NSAs to talk on August 23

After the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan had decided to carry forward the peace process, it was stated that the two National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan- Ajit Doval and Sartaj Aziz would first meet.

A lot on the agenda:

An Indian official informed OneIndia that while there would be a lot to discuss, the first intention would be to ensure that the peace process is carried forward. There are issues relating to cross border violations, terrorist strikes and also the 26/11 trial which would be discussed.

The intent is not to turn this into a mud slinging match, but to pave the way forward. We are hopeful that the talks would be fruitful the official also informed OneIndia. All issues will be discussed positively and attempts to find a solution would be made the official who would be part of the process informed.
