Indian Mujahideen aiming to expand like al Qaeda: Yasin Bhatkal
According to a report, Bhatkal, who was arrested by the security agencies from the Indo-Nepal border in August, told police that IM has close contacts with Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Taliban as well as with Pak's agency Inter-Services-Intelligence (ISI).
One of the most wanted terrorists, Bhatkal, also said that the main objective of IM is to implement Sharia in India, like in Afghanistan and Somalia.

Bhatkal also disclosed that more than half a dozen IM recruits from north India went to Afghanistan to fight for the Taliban, but were killed.
While terming Indian and Pakistan governments as 'anti-Islamic' for showing disrespect to Sharia, Bhatkal claimed that IM is now working independently and not under the shadow of the ISI.
