Indian fishermen held in Iran released, to arrive on Mar 3
Chennai, Mar 3: As many as 49 Indian fishermen detained by Iranian authorities have been released and they would arrive here early on Thursday, government sources said.
The fishermen belong to Tamil Nadu and Gujarat and they were detained by Iranian authorites after they allegedly transgressed into their territory while fishing.
Due to efforts of the two states and the Centre, they have been released from Iran.
They will arrive here by an Air India 906 flight from Dubai, the sources said.
