Bengaluru, Nov 16: With long, serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs, mobile ATMs have proved to be a blessing in disguise. Several banks have rolled out their mobile ATMs or 'ATM on wheels' in cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Noida.
These ATMs not only provide respite in a busy city like Delhi but also help those in remote areas to deal with the cash crunch that everyone is facing at present.
A day after Narendra Modi announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 will be illegal from Tuesday (Nov 8) midnight, hundreds of people queued up at banks and ATMs to withdraw money resulting in a severe cash crunch across the nation.
In Delhi, Punjab National Bank set up a mobile ATM at ITPO Pragati Maidan, whereas a mobile ATM by Canara Bank was seen near MG Road in Bengaluru.
