Imran Masood arrest: Rahul may withdraw Saharanpur rally
In the video that has gone viral, the leader was seen saying that he would chop Modi into pieces. He had also said that Uttar Pradesh was not Gujarat with just 2% muslims. UP had 22% Muslims.
Meanwhile, condemning Masood's language, Congress leader Raj Babbar said,"I condemn the use of such language. This is a very unpleasant situation, where such words were used to threaten an anarchist."
Immediately after the video surfaced, the Election Commission sought the details of the speech. The SDM was asked to submit the video of the speech and a case was registered against Masood.
However, Masood remained defiant and said that he would apologise only when Modi apologised for the Gujarat riots in 2002. He defended himself, saying,"By saying I will cut Modi to pieces, I meant I will teach him a lesson. Moreover, I said that 8 months ago when I was a member of the Samajwadi Party."
