IIT JEE Advanced Result 2016 declared: Know the toppers
New Delhi, June 12: Wait of IIT aspirants got over today as the results of IIT JEE Advanced 2016 have been declared today.

The Jaipur boy Aman Bansal topped the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) for 2016 and the second position was grabbed by Bhavesh Dhingra of Yamuna Nagar, while Kunal Goyal, also of Jaipur, stood third.
Over 1,55,948 candidates had registered for the exam and 36,566 qualified, as per the official JEE website. Of these 31,996 are boys and 4,570 are girls.

Seats
to

IITs
including
the
four
new
ones
will
be
allotted
on
the
basis
of
this
test
which
was
organised
by
IIT
Guwahati

Apart from IITs, admissions on the basis of this exam are granted to other institutes like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.
This year, the JEE Main 2016 exam was conducted in both online as well as offline format. The JEE Main offline test (pen and paper based) took place on April 3, while the online test (computer based) test for Paper 1 and Paper 2 was held on April 9 and April 10, 2016 respectively.
Result of the IIT JEE Main 2016 was declared on April 27.
