I'll be the first person to inform about missing Indians: Sushma in RS

She reiterated in Rajya Sabha that she 'won't declare anyone dead without proof'.

Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Thursdy stated that she would inform the Parliament the day she would get proof about whereabouts of 39 Indians missing in Iraq's Mosul.

Swaraj assured that she would infrom the Parliament if the session is on or inform them via Twitter about the missing Indians.

However, she reiterated in Rajya Sabha that she 'won't declare anyone dead without proof'.

On Wednesday also she had made a statement in Parliament saying she did not mislead the nation on the issue since the government cannot declare anybody dead without evidence.

"I had asked the Embassy to collect evidence. We didn't get any evidence of mass killing. So we started to search for Indians," she said. I am still calling them as "missing persons," will continue to search for them, she added.

There was a massive uproar in Lok Sabha after Swaraj began to make a statement on 39 missing Indians in Iraq, the opposition MPs continued to interrupt her speech.

However, Iraqi Ambassador to India Fakhri H Al-Issa had that no concrete information had been recovered so far about the missing Indians.

Also, MEA Minister of State VK Singh hasd said the government is trying its best to rescue Indian citizens and till the time we don't get proof, no government can abandon its citizens.
