Hyderabad, April 22: Days after her death, a new twist complicated the murder investigation of former Jet Airways airhostess in Hyderabad. Even after postmortem, investigating officers are yet to identify the real reason(s) behind Neetu Sareen's death.

The Cyberabad Police, which have been probing the case, on Tuesday, April 21 said that Neetu had only minor external injuries on her forehead and face.

Murder

While Neetu's family members claimed that she did not commit suicide, her husband Sachin Uppal, the accused in the case, claimed that he just slapped her and did not beat her to death.

Sachin, who has been sent to judicial custody, said he had gone outside for smoking and when he returned home, he found Neetu unconscious.

Meanwhile, Neetu's family members claimed it was not a suicide case but a murder case as she was very happy hours before the tragic incident around 11:00 pm.

Neetu's sister has been quoted as saying, "She had called me at around 8:30 pm and said that she was watching a cookery show to prepare dinner. She sounded happy; the trouble started after Sachin came home."

Speaking about their investigation, a senior police officer was quoted as saying, "The post-mortem examination was completed on Tuesday, and we have taken help of forensic doctors to ascertain the cause. We will know when the post-mortem result comes."

28-year-old Neetu was rushed to a hospital on Sunday when she was declared dead. Her husband allegedly had beaten her to death. The couple has a five-month-old son.
