Hyderabad Shocker: After violence, rape, husband kills ex-Jet Airways airhostess

Hyderabad, April 21: 28-year-old Neetu Sareen, a former airhostess of Jet Airways, has allegedly been killed by her husband, a businessman based in Hyderabad.

According to reports, Neetu's parents took her to a hospital where she was declared dead. She was allegedly beaten up brutally by her husband, Sachin Uppal.

The couple had a quarrel on Sunday night and he might have hit her head against the floor. Police have been investigating whether he was drunk at that moment.

A family friend, who was present at their house, had tried to stop Sachin. However, all his efforts went in vein and Sachin asked the friend to leave his house.

A police official was quoted as saying, "The man hit her and she collapsed. There was only a minor external injury. She must have died of internal injuries. However, we are waiting for the post-mortem report to confirm the cause of death."

According to Neetu's family members, Sachin started torturing Neetu soon after their marriage. Neetu's sister was quoted as saying, "Sachin had a sadistic side which he started showing just two months after the wedding."

"He frequently committed marital rape even when she was nine months pregnant. He used to hit her almost every day asking for more dowry," she added.

The couple have a five-month-old son. Neetu's sister, while speaking about Sachin, also informed, "Just a few weeks before her delivery Sachin hit her in front of my parents."

"He pushed her so hard that my mother who was near her also fell on the ground along with her. Just one day after the delivery in a private hospital at Ramanthapur he took the baby and tried to run away," she added.

Sachin has been booked under IPC section 302 (for murder) and 304 B (dowry death). He soon may be sent to judicial custody.
