Hyderabad, July 13: Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani and six others who were arrested in connection with the IS module had used the cyber cafes in the Old City to download the IS propaganda.
They wanted to get themselves acquainted with the activities of the outfit in that way. Now, NIA officials have decided to confront four of them who will be taken into custody on Wednesday. NIA has acquired evidences of their online activity.
Sleuths said that they have already gathered information from Facebook and other social media sites, which the six used to contact their foreign handlers.
While five of the suspects were already arrested on June 29, during their 12-day custody , the NIA officials identified the rest of the targets using CCTV cameras and collected evidences against them. Sources in the NIA say, "For communication and downloading IS propaganda, they mostly used cyber cafes. Most of the propaganda material recovered from them was in the form of videos, including violent ones and speeches of indoctrination by IS members from Syria and Iraq."
The area of training, hideouts have been traced and identified. Sleuths say that the the suspects would be taken to those places for gathering more information. The NIA officials plan to rope in cyber experts as the module members used encrypted platforms for communication with their handlers.
