Ahmedabad, Sept 14: Narendra Modi has won the hearts of common man as well as the senior leaders of his party. He was as humble as he always is, when he was announced the PM candidate for BJP on Friday 13th. Paying his respects to the senior candidates in the BJP political circuit, such as Murli Manohar Joshi and LK Advani, he had no qualms in seeking their blessings in public.

Immediately after the announcement, Modi was spotted touching Joshi's feet and sought his blessings. L K Advani's absence was striking, but Narendra Modi made up for it too. After the anouncement and the meeting got over, he straight away headed to the home of 85-year old LK Advani, to touch his feet and seek his blessings. And the senior leader could not deny that.

"The party has conferred an ordinary man like me with great responsibility," said he surrounded by senior leaders.

After a 30-minute long meeting with him, he came out smiling all praises for the leader saying,"Former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, the party's most iconic leader, and Mr Advani are like the banyan tree of the BJP and it is the party's "duty to preserve these trees."
