Howrah: Bomb recovered from Falaknuma Express at railway station
Howrah, Sept 23: A bomb was recovered from the Falaknuma Express at the Howrah Station in West Bengal early today morning.
It was recovered by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Bomb Disposal Squad has arrived at the station to neutralise the explosion.
The area has been cleared and the BDS has placed the bomb in a cylinder for a controlled explosion. The cylinder in which the bomb was found was taken to an isolated spot to defuse it.
It is believed that the bomb cylinder was transported from Secunderabad. Passengers alerted the railway officials when they saw two abandoned bags in the general compartment of the train.
