Hotel staff who found Sunanda dead quits job,cites 'personal reasons'
A DNA report says that the hotel employee, who was the first person to notice Sunanda Pushkar "dead", quit the job after the incident, 'citing person reasons'.
Elizabeth was on duty on the evening of January 17. She raised an alarm when she found Sunanda dead in her room. Delhi police questioned her soon after the incident.
The room in Hotel Leela Palace, where Sunanda spent her final moments, has been unused since then.
Initial reports on Jan 17 had said that it was Tharoor who found Sunanda dead. The reports had said that Tharoor was in Sunanda's hotel room that evening from "6 to 8", along with her "personal assistant".
During the day, Tharoor was at the AICC gathering in Talkatora Stadium.
Although the Delhi police have not denied any of the media reports that suggested "foul play" in Sunanda's death,they have not spoken to the media the reported anomalies between the post-mortem and viscera reports.
Reports differ
The post-mortem report had pointed to poisoning. But the viscera report, which came out recently, has ruled out the presence of "poison" in Sunanda's body or traces of anxiety medicine Alprax, though investigators found two nearly used strips of the drug in her hotel room.
