Hotel in Kolkata catches fire, two killed
Two people were killed and six others sustained serious burnt injuries after a major fire broke out on the ground floor of golden Park Hotel in Kolkata.
Kolkata, March 30: A major fire broke out at a city hotel in Kolkata early on Thursday killing two persons and injuring at least six others, a fire brigade official said.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of Golden Park Hotel at around 2.55 am. the official said. "We managed to rescue 31 people from the hotel. Six of them who were injured were shifted to the SSKM Hospital," he added.

As many as 10 fire tenders were pressed into service that worked for two hours to control the blaze.
"The situation is under control. The reason of the fire can be comprehended only after forensic investigations," he added.
