'Hooked' to Amma: Fan gets himself nailed on a cross for her 67th birthday
Chennai, Feb 23: In yet another drama surrounding Tamil Nadu's former chief minister Jayalalithaa, a hard core fan of her's nailed himself to a cross and stayed there for 6 minutes and 7 seconds. The reason? her 67th birthday on February 24th.
A Karate expert Shihan Hussaini was found uttering a silent prayer before his aides nailed his hands and feet with 6 inch iron nails- a mark of insistence that she be made the CM once again. This happened amid rumours that her birthday may lack the usual fervour this year after her ill-fated encounter in the court. Indeed, one cannot find the celebratory banners that once used to dot the skyline of Tamil Nadu, especially en route to the Secretariat from her house.
The very roads lack the lusture these days. The banners have come down and so has the buzz surrounding her birthday. Party workers, who earlier used to fight over her celebrations, seem to have lost interest too.
Party sources, however said that numerous programs, including performing Puja at a temple, have been planned on her birthday. Feeding the poor and cutting the birthday cake at the strike of 12 are some of the other functions that have been organised.

While we are yet to see what happens tomorrow, the early mood for celebration has already set in for this fan, despite the fact that he is used to doing such things every now and then for his very own 'Amma'.[See more pictures]
