New Delhi, March 13: Almost all the top Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have wished Indians on the occasion of Holi on Monday. This time, Holi has added extra colours in the lives of BJP leaders after the party's massive win in the assembly elections, the results of which were declared on Saturday.
Except for Punjab, the BJP is all set to form its government in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. The BJP fought the assembly polls under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 'unprecedented' victory of the BJP is credited to PM Modi and his colleague and BJP president Amit Shah.
"Greetings on the festival of colours, Holi. May the festival spread joy & warmth everywhere," PM Modi tweeted on Monday.
होली के पावन पर्व की सभी को हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं। Greetings on the festival of colours, Holi. May the festival spread joy & warmth everywhere.— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) March 13, 2017
Finance minister Arun Jaitley too wished everyone on Twitter.
On the occasion of Holi, home minister Rajnath Singh--who had a hectic schedule in UP during the polls--wished everyone on the micro-blogging site.
आप सभी को होली की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं।— Rajnath Singh (@rajnathsingh) March 13, 2017
Wishing you and your family a Happy Holi
Till the time of filing this report, the official twitter account of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi did not wish anyone on the occasion of Holi. The assembly election results brought further woes to the Congress.
Except for Punjab, the party saw severe setback in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Although the party managed to get maximum seats in Manipur and Goa, but it looks like the BJP is going to form governments in these two small states also after smaller parties decided to support the saffron party.
