Hindus never convert people, says Rijiju
Rijiju lashed out at the Congress for making 'provocative statements' over a report published in The Arunachal Times.
Hitting back at the Congress for accusing the BJP of trying to convert Arunachal Pradesh into a Hindu state, Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Monday said 'Hindus never convert people'.
Earlier, The Arunachal Times had quoted the state Congress committee as saying that rich tradition and culture of the state were under threat in the BJP rule.
Rijiju lashed out at the Congress for making 'provocative statements' and said India is a secular coutry where all religious groups are living peacefully.

The APCC had also reportedly said that Rijiju was busy in creating instability in the state rather than focusing on its development.
It said the BJP had pumped in black money before demonetisation to topple the 'popularly elected' Congress government.
The APCC said special packages for Arunachal Pradesh were 'a fooling tactic' to lure legislators and Panchayat leaders of the state.
