Himachal CM in power soup: BJP to hold press meet shortly
Shimla, Dec 30: The Bharatiya Janata Party held a press conference in Delhi in connection with the allegations against Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh. The BJP has been accusing Virhadra Singh of making leeways for a power company in Himachal Pradesh.

The BJP leader Arun Jaitley said at the press meet that the case against the HP CM is an open and shut case. He added that he has written to the prime minister about the pending charges against Virbhadra.

The BJP on Wednesday had submitted a chargesheet to the Governor against the alleged misdeeds in one-year rule of Congress Government in Himachal Pradesh.The party also demanded CBI inquiry into the charges levelled against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

In the chargesheet submitted to the Governor, charges BJP has accused the chief minister Virbhadra Singh of corruption during his tenure as Union Steel Minister and recent controversy of favouritism to a firm of one Vakamulla Chandershekher who has loaned him and his wife Rs 3.90 crores.

Virbhadra Singh had rubbished the BJP's "charge-sheet" against his government, saying "it is a bundle of lies".Singh said the opposition was unnerved after a probe was initiated into charges levelled against the erstwhile BJP government, and was making "false and baseless allegations to malign my government and ministers".
