Jaipur, July 4: Bollywood actress Esha Deol on Saturday told media persons that her mother actress Hema Malini is fine now and that she had to undergo a surgery after she was injured in the road accident.
"My mother is fine now. She underwent surgery," Esha Deol told media persons outside the hospital.
The 63-year-old actress was discharged on Saturday following her family members' demand.
Esha also condoled the death of the four-year-old girl, Sonam, who was killed in the collision between Alto car and Malini's, BJP MP from Mathura, Mercedes car.
Heartfelt condolences to the family who lost their child. When you have an accident you have no sense of what is happening: Esha Deol

She also defended her mother, who is being criticised for not helping the victims injured in the other car, and sped way to the hospital saying, "When you have an accident you have no sense of what is happening."
"We will definitely help that family, not as a political figure but as human beings," Esha further added.
The distraught family of the deceased girl complained that Soman's life could have been saved had she been rushed to a hospital with actress Hema Malini. They even complained that none of the family members from the actress's family paid them a visit out of humanity.
For about "20-25 minutes our family of five" lay bleeding on the road in the crashed car, as a doctor took Hema Malini and others in his car to Jaipur's Fortis hospital, Sonam's father Hanuman Mahajan told reporters at the hospital.
Relatives of the family said categorically that they were competent to afford the treatment and not looking for any compensation from the government. Media was focusing on the injuries of the actress, while one came to us, they said.
The family was travelling in an Alto car when it was smashed by Ms. Malini's Mercedes car coming from the opposite direction. The car was being driven by the BJP MP's driver Mahesh Thakur, with the film actor seated inside. The accident took place on Thursday night near Dausa, over 50 km from Jaipur.
