Reacting to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, who did not allow Hooda to speak during the function, the Haryana CM chided that he would not share stage with Modi in future.
Hooda was he was shouted down while addressing people gathered at the venue of foundation laying event here of 166 km Kaithal-Rajasthan border section of the National Highway-152/65.

Irked by BJP's behaviour at the event, Hooda, a Congress leader, said, "BJP did wrong by allowing his supporters to shout me down. I will never go to another function of the PM again."
"If I invite a BJP leader to a Congress rally saying its a state Govt function, how will he feel? BJP turned a government programme into a party affair," claimed Hooda.
Modi along with BJP minister Nitin Gadkari shared the stage with Hooda on Monday, Aug 18. The Prime Minister hailed Hooda government in Haryana while saying, "I know Haryana the way I know about Gujarat."

"This is my first visit to the state after forming the government. I know the people of Haryana have a great sense of humour. I thank you for all your affection. I will return your goodwill with record development," Modi added.
Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson was quoted as saying, "Non-BJP Chief Ministers should avoid political functions in the name of public functions. Because this looks like the modus operandi of the BJP and the Prime Minister to embarrass them publicly for political mileage. This has happened in both Haryana and Maharashtra. Party cadre is called to embarrass chief ministers of other parties."
